Front bringing 40% chance of rain Thursday

Houston may finally get some much-needed rainfall from a weak cold front on Thursday and Friday. Precipitation is far from a certainty, however, especially as the region has been ensconced in such a dry pattern since mid-February. The National Weather Service estimates a 40 percent chance Thursday and a slightly lesser chance into Friday, as the front passes through.
